• All promises, even verbal ones, must be kept.
• Business relations revolve around trust
• English is the language generally used for business and occasionally French, however it's a good idea to use an interpreter.
• Knowing a few expressions in Russian will be appreciated.

• Traditional French savoir-faire is appreciated In Russia. Nevertheless, legal, regulatory and fiscal elements should be studied carefully.
What to do and what not to do
• Bring gifts from France - the Russians have great respect for France's history.
• Be responsive but don't go straight to the goal if the contact veers off the subject. Bring the focus back to the subject progressively.
• Presenting documentation in Russian will be well thought-of.
